Dr. Michael B. Fagan Retires After 43 Years of Smiles.
1979 was a great year. Yes, it was the year that the cable channel Nickelodeon premiered and McDonald’s introduced the Happy Meal, but more importantly, it was the year that Dr. Fagan started practicing dentistry.
In the 43 years since, he’s helped thousands of people here in Chicago Heights enjoy better health and happier smiles. Here at Ashland Dental, we’ve been lucky to have him brighten our halls and treat patients with his caring and pleasant manner. We love how he understands that everyone has unique needs and gives his full, undivided attention to each person.
Outside of the office, Dr. Fagan has devoted his time and energy to making our town a better place. He is a member and past president of the Chicago Heights Lions Club, has served on the Chicago Dental Society Mediation and Peer Review committees, and is an active member of the St. James Hospital Regional Board (including serving four years as its chairman!).
In a letter to his patients, Dr. Fagan said:
“I sincerely thank all of you who have given me the privilege of being your dentist. The trust and confidence you have given to me and my team to provide your oral health care have been both professionally rewarding and personally humbling.
“So many of you have been patients for many years. Not a small number of you have been with me since 1979 when I first began my practice in Chicago Heights.
“Along with my family, you are the ones who have been a large part of my life. I consider you as friends and will always be grateful for your loyalty.”
We will miss Dr. Fagan, but know that he’ll be having fun spending time with his four children and grandchildren, playing golf, and taking beautiful photographs.
Many thanks to you, Dr. Fagan. Enjoy your next adventure!
